The season will open with a
Bronze Casting Demonstration

Saturday, June 6th, 2009

1:00 - 4:00 pm

A very special reception to open the season at the Bee and Thistle Sculpture Grounds. Andrew will demonstrate the ancient method of bronze casting with a discussion of the techniques he uses in the creation of his sculptures. The evening features a tasting of the wines from Page Springs Cellars paired with the sumptous cuisine prepared by the Bee and Thistle's chef. Please call the Bee and Thistle Inn and Spa at (800) 622-4946 for details, and hope to see you there!

The town of Old Lyme, once a shipping colony, became well known in the late nineteenth century as an arts community and is now considered the birthplace of American Impressionism. The town has remained committed to supporting the arts and preserving its quiet charm. Following this tradition, the Bee and Thistle Inn is featuring Andrew's work in their first ever year-long solo exhibition.

The Florence Griswold House, the historic centerpiece of the Lyme Art Colony lies adjacent to the Inn along historic Lyme Street.
